SCC'S FOUNDER
SCC’s mission and core values reflect the multidisciplinary experience of its founder, John Graham, a practicing lawyer since 1974, who has also served as managing director and general counsel of an international telecommunications company. A member of the Bar of the United States Supreme Court and the bars of the highest courts of Maryland, Virginia and the District of Columbia, he has been a partner in private law firms of fewer than 30 to more than 900 lawyers. Educated in the United States and the United Kingdom, he is a dual citizen of the United States and the British Commonwealth (the Republic of Guyana). His achievements include the following:
Law and Business
- Former managing partner of the Baltimore office of a major national law firm and primary outside counsel to Fortune 500 energy company.
- Corporate director of more than 20 business entities in the United States and abroad.
- Former Chairman of Board of Directors and managing director of $42 million public-private telecommunications joint venture in former Soviet Republic.
- Lead counsel in acquisitions, sales, divestitures, spin-offs and other restructurings, as well as public and private offerings of corporate and municipal securities and syndicated borrowings.
- Counsel for structuring and sale of corporate equity and debt interests and joint ventures in the U.S. and overseas.
- Counsel for clients in protracted disputes and litigation in federal and state courts at the trial and appellate levels, and before international tribunals.
